Program Notes

Oct. 6 & 7. We will do carving displays and demonstrations at the Caverns Cultural Celebration, Florida Caverns State Park, Marianna, 9 to 3 CDT. More carvers welcome-see Barbara.

Oct. 9. Marge Norman, RN, wife of carver Tom Norman, will cover first aid for wood carvers. Learn best ways to heal those small cuts and when to seek medical help.

Oct. 23. Mike is organizing a Swat Meet for the club. Now may be the time to get a tool you've been looking for or sell/trade things you now longer use. Bring your tools, wood, patterns, books, or magazines. Buy, Sell or Trade! Bring small bills for purchases and something to carve.

Oct. 30. Robert will teach a Santa Face ornament. Carve on the corner, easy carve face.

Nov. 13. Lance will have one of his well-designed ornaments for us to carve.

Dec. 9. Annual Fall Farm Day display and demonstration at the Tallahassee Museum of History and Natural Science. All members welcome to display and demonstrate. A fun day for all of us.

Dec. 18. Capital City Carvers traditional Holiday Party. Will have sign-ups for food to bring. Good time to bring spouse or friends. Show & tell prize drawing. Carving.

Ever wonder where door prizes come from? They are donated by members like you!
