Do you have some acrylic paints that are past their prime? You don't have to discard them. Mix them up as best you can, then take a portion that you wish to use for a project and mix it with flow medium. I may mix equal amounts to get the consistency I want. The flow medium does not make the paint shiny, change the hue or dull the color. The mixture of paint and medium may also be thinned with water to create washes. Wash layers have the effect of creating depth on the object you are painting.
