Weekend Workshop
March 1 & 2,2014

Gary Falin is an outstanding caricature carver who was elected as a member of Caricature Carvers of America. He has been here before teaching his caricatures and teaches regularly in a number of places such as John C. Campbell Folk School and the Renegade Woodcarving Workshop. Gary has dozens of roughouts including both human figures and animals. You get to choose what you want to carve. We will bring some completed carvings to business meetings for you to see. He spends individual time with each student and you will leave with at least one finished carving.

The cost is $100 for two days of instruction payable to the club no later than February 24th. Each student is responsible for paying Gary directly for the roughouts. There are 10-12 spaces in the workshop. Class will take place from 9 to 5 each day at Lewis Digital on Capital Circle NE. Sign up for the workshop at any club meeting.

One or two scholarships are available from the club. They are intended to assist less experienced carvers take advantage of this workshop opportunity. See Adelle by January 27th for the application process.
